That page is nicely written. It uses pppd demand dialing instead of diald
but that's not really a problem for me. The problem is that, even when
following the instructions quite carefully, I cannot bring up the ppp link.
When I enter the command 'pppd :10.0.0.2', I see the following in
/var/log/messages:

Aug 26 06:32:34 linux kernel: PPP: version 2.3.3 (demand dialling)
Aug 26 06:32:34 linux kernel: PPP line discipline registered.
Aug 26 06:32:34 linux kernel: registered device ppp0
Aug 26 06:32:34 linux pppd[611]: pppd 2.3.7 started by root, uid 0
Aug 26 06:32:34 linux pppd[611]: Using interface ppp0
Aug 26 06:32:34 linux pppd[611]: ioctl(SIOCSIFDSTADDR): Cannot assign requested
address(99)
Aug 26 06:32:34 linux pppd[611]: Exit.

Any ideas?
