This says that any packets for any interface goes through eth0.  I don't
think it is necessary or correct.

Is this the IP address for eth0?  Or is it a host on the other end of a
pointtopoint link?  Please explain.  It looks wrong

Why two defaults.  This entry implies that your diald box can only reach
the network through another gateway host.  Is this true?  Otherwise the
5th entry takes care of this.

host or domain you have never requested before?
