Okey, Ive done this: Made sure that the kernel has ethertap support as modules (recompiled): Added to conf.modules: alias tap0 ethertap options tap0 -o tap0 unit=0 alias tap1 ethertap options tap1 -o tap1 unit=1 And run: mknod /dev/tap0 c 36 16 mknod /dev/tap1 c 36 17 And started diald: Everything starts as it should, ifconfig reports a tap0, eth0, lo so so long allswell. But diald can not make a connection. chat reports "cant get terminal parameters: Invalid argument". But if I remove the tap then everything works allright (with sl0). So what am I doing wrong? // Jarmo - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-diald" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
