I am not a real expert either - but in my case with mail on one dialup and
internet on the other. In addition to the usual options about local, remote and
netmask, I simply had to put 'defaultroute' in one of the config
file for the internet connection and 'nodefaultroute' for the one that just fetched
the mail.
