diald stops responding

Hi everyone
I have diald 0.99.1 on kernel 2.0.35 (Sparc). It works really very well.
Apart from one thing. Every so often (3/4 days) diald stops responding -
it won't dial, and leaves nothing in the syslog, but is still present in
the process list.
Any ideas?
