hmm.. what would you mean by `tty port didn't point to modem'? my modem is
hooked to com1 which is ttyS0/cua0. is there possibility to mess things up?
and I haven't found out how to specify deliberately what file chat should
work with. so far I understand, diald should open the file, and pass it to
chat as 0/1 file descriptors.
