Can someone tell me (and hopefully provide one) why the libc6 ver of diald (or diald-conf) no longer comes with RH style init scripts (ie-S90diald linked to ../init.d/diald)? I'm using Caldera OL2.3, I've got the diald configued, but I'd like to use the SysV style init scripts to start and stop diald. The older versions included these scripts. Is there some other more "correct" way to start the newer diald? I've got KDE and kppp connected fine, but does not include configuration of diald and it's not an option under COAS.
