What do the tap devices buy over the slip devices? My kernel supports tap
devices so I followed the direction to create the /dev/tapx devices using
mknode and added the appropriate aliases in my conf.modules file. Now my
'route' output shows certain addresses using the tap0 interface instead of
the sl0 interface. So what does this buy me? Will it ever use tap1-tap15 or
only ever use tap0? Should I care?
TIA!
