I've never used a mailing list as this before. I hope this is ok. Ihave installed diald 0.16 from the SuSE 6.1 linux Distribution. I dial to my internet provider with wvdial. (This works perfectly, if logged in as root) I have entered the path /usr/sbin/wvdial in the diald.conf file. I can start diald (ps -xu shows the process number) if I demand a URL diald becomes active. In the system log it says: running connect script, failed, waiting 30 secs for clear and redial, running conn... ecc.) What can be wrong? The path IS correct (I have started wvdial with full path to try) I have failed to make a running configuration for chat or the included diald connect script (as my modem is rather eccentric) so I'd love to use wvdial.
