Hello everyone. I'm setting up a linux box to masquerade to 5 win95/98 computers with a cable modem and was wondering if anyone could point out some good "step-by-step" sites so I don't have to mess around. My primary question is that of IP addresses. ATT uses dynamic ips(or so I've read), but how does that make any sense with a "dedicated" connection? The cable mini-howto didn't seem too comprehensive. Also, I can get up to 4 IPs (again, are they static or what???). Could some of those IPs be dedicated to certain computers so things like netmeeting will work? Or would that pose too serious of a security risk? I assume the latter. I have also read on the Masq site that there is a module for netmeeting. Is there an RPM hanging around somewhere I can use? Or, wait, isn't it a kernel module? Does someone have it compiled? I'm not exactly sure how to even load the module if I did have it compiled. Or, what the heck, I could always just recompile my kernel with no problems. Anyone? Well, I guess that's it for now.
