Just a note because this is going to byte anyone else
running diald with a recent ppp 2.3.x and above.
You need to include a line like:
pppd-options asyncmap 00000000 usepeerdns name YOUR-PAP-NAME
remotename ppp0 ipparam ppp0 linkname ppp0 noauth
The noauth is particularly important. When my brother
upgraded from redhat 5.2 to 6.1 this totally took down diald
and it wasn't at all obvious why.
Please could someone include this in the documentation?
