I use the same provider etc. except I am running SuSE. I use a script that
is provided by Marc Heuse from SuSE http://www.suse.de/~marc
It all works for me by using ppp0 as the interface in the scripts for the
outside world device. I have no complaints from IPchains about it not
existing until pppd is runnnig and I tested the box from outside and I can
see my firewall is blocking etc.
