Hello, I use CUPSD for my printer and it brings up my PPP connection through diald since it listens on port 631 (Internet Printer Protocol). I have tried to block this by defining 631 as "ipp" in /etc/services and adding the lines: ignore tcp tcp.source=ipp ignore tcp tcp.dest=ipp Ok, obviously I don't know what I'm doing since it didn't work. Diald still dialed up upon rebooting. I know it is CUPSD that is causing the problem since killing it removes the unwanted dialing behavior. What should those lines in phone.filter look like? Another question, if I may....I have this written down at home, but the machine I am working on is not where I can get at those notes. There are instructions on how to make the ethertap interface in README.ethertap and in /usr/src/linux/Documenatation, but I also recall there being something about a" af_packet 17" (or something) line that is supposed to be added to /etc/conf.modules. Could someone remind me what that is please? Thank You. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-diald" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
