This is very strange. I had an optimally working server configuration using
diald, ipmasq, etc and have had no problems for an extended period of time.
Nothing has changed except that now diald won't trigger. I have no idea how
to debug this and could use some help.
I have a network of two win98 workstations and a single linux workstation, all
connected to a linux server. The server runs diald and named and does all the
name resolution for the network and, of course, is responsible for masqing and
firewalling internet access. My workstations can ping each other and ping the
server and vica versa. If the server attempts to access the internet, diald
triggers properly. Once diald is triggered and a connection is established,
the workstations are able to access the internet. The only thing not working
is that internet traffic from the workstations won't trigger diald.
Nothing has been changed on my server in months. How do I debug this?
TIA!
