Thanks alot. But as advised by Mike J. in a private post, I needed to turn
on the "code maturity level options" before I could select for
ethertap under make menuconfig. He is also correct that the command to
turn on ethertap is "/sbin/ifconfig tap0 ...." AND NOT "/sbin/ifconfig
/dev/tap0 ...." as mentioned in ethertap.txt in the kernel source tree.
