go with the following in your "filters" file (e.g.
/usr/lib/diald/standard.filter):

accept tcp 600 tcp.dest=tcp.www
accept tcp 600 tcp.source=tcp.www
accept tcp 180 tcp.dest=tcp.smtp
accept tcp 180 tcp.source=tcp.smtp
accept tcp 180 tcp.dest=tcp.pop-3
accept tcp 180 tcp.source=tcp.pop-3

but... you _must_ have these services defined in your /etc/services:

http 80/tcp # www is used by some
broken
www 80/tcp # progs, http is more
correct
smtp 25/tcp mail
pop-3 110/tcp # PostOffice V.3

notice the confusion over http/www. my version of standard.filter
(0.16.5a) uses www, so i told you to use www. if yours uses http, or you
want to change your "www"-filters to http, use http.

also, you might have to define and use pop and pop-2.

hope this helps -- please tell me if it does (or does not!), since
there's nothing worse than spending time helping people never to know
whether it has worked or not :)

good luck,
