I'm killing my neurons for 2 days now and diald is still in a
non-working stage. I'm asking for your help as a last resort. All the
stuff below is tested while root.
'connect' script is not using my modem
/dev/modem and /dev/ttyS1 are working and are not locked/used by other
apps.
$DIALD_DEVICE=modem, $DIALD_DEVTYPE=modem
the command
[root@localhost diald]# chat TIMEOUT 5 "" ath1 TIMEOUT 10 OK ""
has no effect on the modem. I would have seen (on the front panel) and
hear the effect.
how does the 'chat' program know where the modem is? It's not using
/dev/modem ;-( ...
xminicom, kppp works well. (this message is my witness ;)
please, what can I do?
