Hi all! I help Gentoo in packaging Eclipse. Silent until now since there was no issue to ask for help yet. :)
But the new Software Update Manager [1] of Eclipse 3.4 requires some profile configuration data to work. Right now I just see an error message [2]. As far as I know there is a workaround [3]. But that would write to the system installpath where the user has no write access. For now I leave a message to the user to enable the Classic Update Manager. Anyone any ideas about this? Or knows someone from the Eclipse team to ask how that profile configuration should look alike to have per user in ~/.eclipse.
