Maybe it should be mentioned that as a general rule after updating the
driver from CVS one should:

0) cd DVB/driver
1) make rmmod 
2) make clean
3) make insmod

to ensure that you are really using the latest version and not some
strange mix of old and new object files/kernel modules.
Don't forget to stop all programs using the drivers, so that rmmod
will work. You can check if all modules have been removed by using
lsmod.
