I think that hardware have problem tunning low symbol rate signal. Low symbol signal
need more strong signal power than high
symbol rate signal.

Subject: [linux-dvb] Low symbol rates with gVideo & drv0.82

I have a Technisat SkyStar1 DVB card and I just aquired an antenna
positioner. So I tried to see what digital TV I can receive.
I ran into a problem : all TV stations on all satellites I tried that
have a low symbol rate (below 10000) did not work, although I could
measure signal strenght to be adequate.
Using sdb, it reports 6.7-6.9dB which is about the same I can see for
most stations visible on HOTBIRD and have symbol rates of 27500, or
Astra 1 with 27500 or 22000.

Is this a problem of gVideo ? Signal strength ? Drivers ?
I know the specs of the DVB card say it can work with symbol rates
between 1 and 45MS/s

Thank you.
