That's exactly what you mentioned in the first mail and I'm still
testing. I still get occasional tuning failures, but it doesn't seem as
worse as the version with
// read status reg in order to clear pending irqs
sp8870_readreg(i2c, 0x200);
in FE_RESET only.
It looks like it is now on the same niveau as it was before implementing
FE_RESET...

PS: will do some more channel switching and then go back to J�rgen's
version to see, whether it really makes a difference or not (in terms of
tuning, not lock-up)
