I can't, until I start again from the beginning, since I applied Gerd's patches to my original 2.4.23 source tree, and the kernel built but the modules won't build, following the patch. So, /usr/src/linux-2.4.23/vmlinux no longer matches the kernel I'm booting from. I may have time to try again this weekend. If so, I assume that I should run ksymoops like this: ksymoops -v /usr/src/linux-2.4.23/vmlinux -m /boot/System.map-2.4.23 \ -o /lib/modules/2.4.23-lk dmesg-segfault-lines By "starting again from the beginning", I mean: 1. Get and unpack 2.4.23 kernel. 2. Unpack video4linux. 3. Unpack bttv and patch. 4. cvs co DVB 5. cvs co dvb-kernel 6. modify getlinks script for bttv 7. Build kernel 8. Build V4L 9. make in DVB/driver 10. install in DVB/driver 11. make in dvb-kernel/build-2.4 12. install in dvb-kernel/build-2.4 13. make bttv 14. install bttv 15. Run dvb-nebula to start modules. Does that make sense? Where does Video4linux2 come into the picture? Is there a Video4linux2 patch that works for the released 2.4.23 kernel? luke -- Info: To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe linux-dvb" as subject.
