I don't mind extracting the relevant info from a mail as long as the relevant 
points are clear and unambiguous (which is the case here). I let mails 
concerning such changes float around for some days (moved to a special folder 
over here so they aren't lost) to see whether there are any questions / 
objections / other types of comments before I deal with them.
