I am experimenting with the Disk On Chip eval. Board with the Linux drivers, and it
works great. However, the cost of this device is still quite high for most low-cost
Internet Appliances. A large part of this cost (about US30-50) goes to licensing the
file system code from M-systems, which is bundled with the cost of this device,

M-systems will probably hate me for this, but is anybody considering writing a cheaper
version of these drivers to drive down the cost of this great Linux-based solution. I
will certainly be willing to pay up to $10 ea. for quantities 10,000 or more.
