Check out the Motorola MBX or EBX boards. They have the MPC860 or MPC821 PowerPC processors, IDE interfaces, ethernet, serial, parallel, pcmcia, etc and are very cheap (for an embedded product) as well as having a small footprint. Linux/PPC runs on these boards. Checkout : http://linuxppc.cs.nmt.edu/ http://linuxppc.cs.nmt.edu/embedded.html http://www.linuxppc.org/ http://www.linuxppc.com/ Brendan Simon. "Ryan R.
