Hi,

I'vm new to the list, but after reading through the _entire_ mailing list
archive, I've seen several discussions about the AMD Elan cpu's, and about
booting Linux without BIOS...

However, with my lack of experience with assembly for x86, and lack of
experience with the boot process of x86 hardware, I'd love it if someone
actually had anything working for booting from an AMD Elan based board
with Intel flash, no BIOS, no disk drive etc.

I've found code for adapting the FTL block driver for PCMCIA to operate
with the onboard flash, so that's not really a problem, just a matter
of getting the write/erase timing and commands right... My problem is
booting the damn thing from the flash :-) (note: As mentioned this is an
Intel flash chip - a 28F640, not one of those fancy and expensive IDE
compatible flash disks...)

Any input or code you can share would be greatly appreciated.
