After fixing the 'obvious' error (I was using 0x60 instead of 60...) it runs a bit further: *** rom_init rom: registered device at major 60 romdisk: 00199b20 rom_dev[0]: loc 001b9880 data 00199b28 length 153600 blkdev_open() requested on MAJOR: 60 VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem) readonly. (several calls to blkdev_open() on MAJOR 4) Unable to open an initial console. so I'm back on track. Now comes the 'exciting' part - building a proper root filesystem :-) Still, if anyone has taken the ROM disk patch further, for instance implemented a base=0x option, could they please raise their hands. //Bjrn Eriksson. -- To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the command "unsubscribe linux-embedded" in the message body.
