After fixing the 'obvious' error (I was using 0x60 instead of 60...) it 
runs a bit further:

so I'm back on track. Now comes the 'exciting' part - building a proper 
root filesystem :-) Still, if anyone has taken the ROM disk patch further, 
for instance implemented a base=0x option, could they please raise their 
hands.
