Takeover ttyX from ttyY

Hi,
With  'cat /dev/vcs1'  I can dump the screen of the prog running on
/dev/tty1.

Can I send console input to that prog also ?

The meaning for is to takeover control on a program running on tty1 from

ex. ttyS0 or ptty (telnet)
