HELP^.Please.

I have been trying to get a dhcp server running to serve several D.C.s
under SuSE6.3

I have boot working on a RH6 system, but application (X/tcl/tk) very
slow, even on server.
The application runs O.K. on the SuSE system (same embedded board), but
I can't get the dhcp stuff to work.

In the initd.conf, I have removed the ^#^'s at the start of the lines

tftp dgram udp wait nobody /usr/sbin/tcpd in.ftpd /tftpboot
bootps dgram udp wait root /usr/sbin/bootpd bootpd /tftpboot

I have /etc/bootptab

pax1.paxpoint.com:ha=00C06C741474:ip=192.100.100.1:bf=/tftpboot
                                                ^
                                                |
                                    NIC address of client

I have kernel files vmlinuz and vmlinuz.out, which worked with a RH6.1
installation.

The client reports its NIC address, then
^Searching for server (dhcp)^
then repeats ^sleep^

Can anyone give me any pointers to find out where the system is failing
?. inetd seems to load O.K, as does nfs (for when I get the dhcp
working).
