I'm bulding an embedded system that needs to mount an nfs resource
in read only mode.

The kernel is the 2.4.6 and the binaries I'm using come from redhat
7.1 (mount, portmapper). The problem is that most of the times the
system locks form minutes trying to mount the resource while
sometimes it do it in a while. There's no network problem because
we are on a lan and it seems not to depend on the server side
(I tried with a redhat 7.1 and 6.2 system).
I tried with async and tcp options without success.

What can I check? What the system is needing?

The nfs mount service is incorrectly terminated from the server
point of view, because the most of the time the embedded system
is switched off without umounting.

Thank you in advance.
