is it possible that u have installed the hard drive into the other system on a different ide or scsi channel?   That way ur root partition is on a different device i.e. switched from hda3 to hdc3 and that way it can't be mounted, reboot ur computer using a bootdisc and reinstall ur lilo, using the right root partition in ur /etc/lilo.conf that shall fix the problem, described below.   (it seems to me that this is the error, when reading the error output provided....)   With kind regards, Hans van Gent -----Original Message----- From: Ramesh [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 11 February 2002 06:49 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Problem with mounting of file system during bootup.
