Hi,
I am trying to a network install in a Xen DomU.
( as of differences betwenn real hardware: I think I did everything necessary to compensate the differences to real hardware).

Server and client are etch, fai installation is completely default apart from a local mirror used to build the nfsroot. Admittedly my first fai3 on an etch server network installation - when using dirinstall a while ago, I had no troubles, and fai-cd's went fine yesterday with beta2. Now I'm using fai 3.2 beta3. fai-setup and nfs reload have been done many times.

Using a standard debian kernel with initrd instead of fai-kernels - which works very well in a similar setup with a sarge fai server and nfsroot, even to install an etch client from there.

the full log is at http://paste.debian.net/30456

The first error seems to be "mkdir: cannot create directory `/var/run/network': Read-only file system"

sounds like something wrong with the ramdisk or stuff... but no idea what could be wrong after looking for a long time, rebuilding nfsroot many times...
