Because this is defined in the script lib/fai-mount-disk in fstab_mount(). There I do a mount -o ro /dev/$fstabpart $FAI_ROOT so /tmp/target is mounted ro. Normally, all other partitions should also be mounted ro, because it's a rescue system. But it seems to be a little bug, so they are mounted as defined in fstab. But you can use a simple hook to remount the partition rw. Just use this command: rwmount $FAI_ROOT -- regards Thomas
