I think it's supposed to be considered an opaque type, unless you are the
maintainer of the code that implements it. :-/  That said, it eventually
becomes either a struct or a long long int (depending on whether __GNUC__
is defined) in /usr/include/bits/types.h .  64-bit offsets have been in
the works for some time now.

Nevertheless it would be unwise to assume anything about such quantities
in the absence of a documented commitment to a particular representation.

A Brazil-nut is neatly packaged and tightly integrated.  To turn it into
