Heartbeat under Solaris isn't as robust as under Linux. That's because the vast majority of its worldwide usage is under Linux: the number of people using heartbeat under Solaris is much, much smaller. So inevitably bugs remain when attempting to use it under non-Linux OSes. Sadly, I can't offer any direct assistance on specific problems. But if you can do some debugging to see what is failing, and pin it down to a particular part of the source code, then some of us here might be able to do something with your findings. In my own case, I've never yet mananged to get heartbeat to pass its "BasicSanityCheck" (sometimes called BSC) tests on Solaris. I'd be interested to know if it passes for you. And if it fails for you, then any tracing you can do towards particular source code would be useful. It wouldn't surprise me if your problem, and the failure to pass BSC are related. Debugging one might help with the other. (Is there anyone out there in "linux-ha-dev"-land who has experience of debugging these sorts of problems (I don't really), and who might be able to install Solaris (whether Sun's or, say, OpenSolaris) onto something?)
