Hello list,

Is it possible to add a drbd resource to a group using the hb_gui?

I've been working with heartbeat, trying to gain some comptetency
in setting up highly available services, but have not found a way
to create anything more than a trivial example using the hb_gui.

I've tried unsuccessfully a number of ways to set up highly available
mysql server, which depends on a filesystem, which depends on drbd,
and an ip address, all of which have to be on the same node.

I had hoped that creating an ordered group would solve the problem,
so I proceed:

I create the group "group_mysql", add an ip quickly and easily,
but the drbd resource is the roadblock I can't seem to get past.

I attempt add a new drbd resource "resource_mysql_drbd, belonging to
"group_mysql". I edit the "drbd_resource" field, setting it to "r0" which
is defined in /etc/drbd.conf. If I click the "Add" button at this point,
I get a popup which says "ID can't be empty". Fair enough. OK, there's
a free-form field "Clone or Slave/Master ID" with no default value.

I've tried any number of strings in this field, and the result is always
the same: A popup saying "Activation Failed", the "add native resource"
window closes, and I'm back at the main hb_gui screen wondering what
went wrong.

Hence my question: What is required in the "Clone or Slave/Master ID"
field? I can find no hint of the required format or acceptable values.
Has anybody succeeded in adding a drbd resource in a group via the
hb_gui? If so, what was the procedure?

Regards,

Joe
