Although not intensively tested, I did not have your locking problem
during fail-overs. But before I started to test locking I noticed that
not all nfsd processes were killed by Heartbeat, I solved that by
calling a killnfsd script, containing nothing more than
killall -9 nfsd ; exit 0
This script is executed after "nfs-kernel-server stop" and "nfs-common
stop", and, of course, effectively kills all nfsd processes. Maybe this
prevents me from having your locking problems during fail-over?
Excuse me if I should have replied to your original message, but I think
it may be a bit inappropriate to answer a 2-year old mail.
It really surprises me that so few people are using linuxHA for NFS
servers with locking. I think this is one of the most useful uses of
linuxHA and DRBD!
