I had seen this too on 5.1; rpc.nfsd's survived. However, in my case this could've been as well due to uncoordinated takedowns upon heartbeat handover; I use heartbeat v2, but the CRM was auto-converted from v1.

Upgrade to RHEL-5.2 solved this issue.
