I think writing the OCF is a good thing. It will work in smaller clusters and should work on larger ones. Technically an OCF RA could used in an application besides linux HA, as OCF is agnostic. I will get started on the OCF
Here is a tricky question, hadoop is under Apache V2 License Linux HA is GPL. It would be nice to have have the OCF files included with hadoop and with Linux HA.
