I am sorry if my question was too brief. Environment: OS: RHEL5 Linux HA: 2.1.4
The resource which I need tracked as a part of failover is the available of a servlet container. The availability of this servlet container is determined by attempting to access the container at a TCP port. It appears that I can define the servlet container as an OCF resource. If someone could show me an example of how to define a servlet container as an OCF resource for heartbeat, could you please point me to the sample code? Please help! Thanks! /Uma ----- Original Message ----- From: uma rk To: General Linux-HA mailing list Sent: Tue, 10 Mar 2009 16:46:37 +0000 (UTC) Subject: [Linux-HA] HA based on availability of an application on primary I am building HA for an application on RHEL4. A mission critical application runs on the primary. I would like the standby to assume the VIP if the application on the primary becomes unavailable. Is it possible for me to insert my custom "pinger" to determine the availability of the primary?
