After stopping the heartbeat interfaces and getting the system halted message on the console this is what comes up in the log file:

Stonith kicks in at the prompt appears: The system is going down for system halt now. And there it stays forever. BUT when I enable one heartbeat interface (ifup eth4) then almost immediately things get rolling and the machine is power off -----Original Message----- From: linux-ha-boun...@lists.linux-ha.org [mailto:linux-ha-boun...@lists.linux-ha.org] On Behalf Of Dejan Muhamedagic Sent: Wednesday, April 21, 2010 11:39 AM To: General Linux-HA mailing list Subject: Re: [Linux-HA] Stonith external/riloe won't stop server Hi, On Wed, Apr 21, 2010 at 11:07:08AM +0200, Karel Brenkman wrote: > Hi, > > > > We want to use the ilo boards from our hp DL380 servers in the stonith > config. > > So far everything is running smoothly there is only one BIG issue: > > > > When stonith kicks in it logs in in to the ilo board and does the power > off action ( already tried button, power ilo_protocol 1.2 and 2), but > then acpi kicks in and a normal shutdown procedure will run. The "power" method shouldn't ask for acpi cooperation. Are you absolutely sure that acpid got involved in that case too?
