ax25ipd

Hi,
I am running kernel 2.2.9, ax-utils-2.1.42.
I am failing in satting up axip, ax25ipd tells me he is having trouble
opening the tty device (/dev/ttyqd).
I have no other ax25 ports, thought I should start with this one to link
to my other pc.
I have modified my ax25ipd.conf and axports files.
Any hints welcome.
