I've been using an accounting program under Linux with the iBCS module for
a few years now with very little probems. It has been running with kernel
2.0.x and libc5.

I reasently have been trying to get this program to run on a system with
the 2.2.x kernel with libc6. I can get the program to run fine as long as
I am root, but to run as a normal user I get permissions denied on
executing the binary. I've checked all the permissions that I think this
program would access and the binary should be okay.

Can someone give me some way of debugging this. I've tried the 'trace all'
and strace but I don't get anything from trace all ... nothing at all if I
am a normal system user. And strace I get permissions denied error.

A little about the executable:

Real World Accounting
OS SCO Open Server 5
Compiled with Micro-focus Cobol
It loads quite a few dynamic libs I can give a list if this might help,
but the program runs fine as root and the regular user can access all the
dynamic loadable libs

Anyone have any ideas or debugging info.
