Looks similar to the problems I have with a samsung dvdrw connected to
jmicron sata controller, see bugzilla 7893
I also tried the patch, it didnt help :(.

My sincere apologies, the file attached to my previous posting was not
mine! It was the same file that nils attached, I was not aware that
"reply to all" in gmail included the attachments.
