Hmm. The scars left by dufferential SCSI cables don't seem to be too

Help people who are new to Linux but oldtimers to RTFM? Does this
remove the contradiction?

Ugh? Vadik, not from you! The following brief bio (from
http://www.zdstudios.com/opensource/key.html) for other uninitialized
is somewhat outdated - I believe Mr. Hall left DEC/Compaq for VA
Research.

engineer, product manager, and marketing manager for Digital UNIX
products. Mr. Hall is active in promoting the Linux operating system,
which is a freely distributable re-implementation of the UNIX
operating system. He also was instrumental in having Linux ported to
the Alpha system. Linux International is a non-profit organization
dedicated promoting the use of Linux. Digital was the first system
