Since you are rolling out 2 ISA NICs I would look at Null modem connection,
modem to modem connection (too expensive either?) and PLIP (IP over Parallel
Line). Not sure how easy you can install PLIP on a win machine though.
But please note that I have no experience with it. I believe that in theory
these options should work but we all know that until theory is implemented it
is still a theory.
Have you tried searching what the HOWTOs might suggests?
