Hi Chen, Is there a way to record the session by audio(easier) or video(if you can make a divx) and put the digital version on the web? Because not everyone will be able to come, and this way the lecture will not be lost. I am sure you can at least tape it with a simple tape recorder, or bring a laptop with a big h.d or a good compression codec and then move it to mp3 or something similar.

Future of Linux: It took two years to get us from 2.2. to 2.4, and still things were not exactly smooth after the 2.4.0 release. In fact, after the VM fiasco, some people questioned if the whole development and release of new kernels should not be done differently (and better.) With 2.5 already in development for a few months, it is now a good time to get an understanding of where the new kernels are heading and what is the work currently done. I am currently working with Andrea Arcangeli and Ingo Molnar on VM and block I/O fixes that will eventually make 2.6 the best database server release yet. In my speech I will speak about these changes and others and what (and when :-) we can expect of 2.6.0. The speech will last a maximum of two hours and will be at the Compaq building in Ra'anana, just like my last two speeches at IGLU. Where and when:: The meeting will take place this month at Compaq, 9 Dafna St., Ind. Center Ranana (NOT the IDC as last time!).
