The general answer to this question is www.lirc.org. I had no problem using the remotes that come with any bt848 based TV card I used. If you don't want a TV card, www.plonter.co.il now sell a PB remote controll, that connects to the serial port, and is supported by lirc. -- Matan Ziv-Av.
