Ok linux hounds out there..... I have a bunch (about 160) real audio (old style, .ra) files. I want to convert them to MP3. Why? I have an MP3 CD player and it does not play real audio files. So I need to convert them.
I have found a windows program to do it, but I would prefer not to use it. I would prefer a nice command line linux program. So I can set up a shell script to convert. If I have to, I don't mind converting to raw or wav format and then from there to MP3. In fact I would prefer it as then I can use my prefered MP3 encoder with my prefered settings. But my whole point is that I can leave it run unattened and come back in a few days with a whole bunch of .mp3 files. (the files total about 1 gig in real audio format, and will double in size as mp3's. TIA, Geoff. -- Geoffrey S.
