Hi Linuxers.
A few things I wanted to say, bunched together: 1. I wrote a simple HOWTO for setting up a mail server with virtual domains with Postfix, Courier and LDAP. I would love to have comments on that, especially what needs to be changed for it to work on systems other then the one I'm presently using. This can be found at http://www.geek.co.il/articles/postfix (or some such) 2. I was contacted by a company that requirs a linux programmer for a porting job. since I cannot currently spare the time, I promised them I'll help them look. so this is a semi official job offer - they're looking for a Linux programmer for a consulting gig - porting a TclTk/OpenGL application from commercial unices to Linux. estimated time frame is about one month. please contact me on my private e-mail for more details. 3. I just found out something interesting about my system - it wasn't like that before, but ever since I updated it to Mandrake 9 it behaves as thus: all mice connected to the system send their commands to their respective mouse devices (mouse0, mouse1, etc) under /dev/input , but also to a special device named /dev/input/mice. that means that if you have more then one mouse connected (as I do), you don't need any special setup - just tell whatever software you want to control the mouse (gpm, X, etc) to connect to /dev/input/mice and all your mice will be "mixed" together for control. neat. 4. Enigmail sucks. with KMail I can choose which PGP key to use for each mail account, but with Enigmail , the PGP key must have exactly the same e-mail address as the account. so, for example, I can't sign messages that are sent from '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' with my personal key that is registered with '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'. I sure can't use my personal key if it is registered as '[EMAIL PROTECTED]', which it actually is. anoying. -- Oded ::..
